What are the new Alzheimer's treatments?
Leqembi™ and Kisunla™ are administered as an IV infusion fortnightly or monthly. They aim to clear amyloid plaques, which build up in the brain and can contribute to Alzheimer's. Through the treatment process, you will be closely monitored by the doctors and nurses at the clinic.

How long will the treatment take?
Each infusion takes around 30 minutes, administered fortnightly or monthly for up to 18 months. Typically, amyloid plaques are cleared from the brain after 12 to 18 months of treatment. A PET scan towards the end of treatment will confirm this.

Who could be eligible?
If you have fading memory, then you could be eligible for the new treatments. After your initial consultation with Dr. Moghul, you will need a dementia clinic assessment, which includes a cognitive assessment and an MRI scan. This is to see if you have mild cognitive impairment (MCI), or mild Alzheimer's disease. The treatments are not suitable for other conditions.

Dr. Moghul has teamed up with Re:Cognition Health to provide his patients with the new treatments. Re:Cognition Health are the most experienced provider in the field, and were the first in Europe to use the new treatments. Dr. Moghul will be administering the treatments himself at the Winchester clinic, and the supporting team of doctors and nurses are very experienced.
