Dr Moghul is an NHS Consultant in Liaison Psychiatry at Southampton General Hospital and Visiting Consultant at the Priory Hospital Dr Moghul trained as a doctor at Southampton Medical School. As part of his training on the Wessex Rotation he worked at all the regional psychiatric services including Southampton, Winchester, Basingstoke, Poole, Bournemouth and Salisbury. He therefore has a good knowledge of services in the region. He has considerable experience in treating all the main psychiatric conditions and became a Consultant Psychiatrist in 2003. He is on the board of examiners at The Royal College of Psychiatrists and is also an examiner for the General Medical Council. He was appointed as a Medical Member of the Tribunal Service for the Ministry of Justice in 2008. Dr Moghul has been lecturing and teaching at Southampton University Medical School since 2004 on memory problems and dementia. He has had several publications in peer reviewed journals mostly in the field of Alzheimer's disease. He has a special interest in psychiatric problems in later life including memory problems, dementia (e.g. Alzheimer's disease) and problems around retirement. He has two decades of experience in providing reports assessing capacity to make a will (Testamentary Capacity) and Lasting Power of Attorney. Dr Moghul is a visiting Consultant at the The Priory Hospital Southampton and The Manor Clinic Southampton. He runs regular out-patient clinics at private hospitals in Southampton, Chandlers Ford and Bournemouth. |
